Group Qualification
This is the worksheet that you will work on until all group matches have been played, until December 2009. This worksheet will have blank scoreboxes, but I put some samples that you can see in the first picture (you can enlarge it by clicking the picture). If you want to adjust the order of matches, for example based on time instead of the group order, you can change it manually.

Once you settled the match fixtures, you can start filling the score result in blue boxes where the color will turn into white after you fill the score.

I have put tie breaking regulation formula from the beginning, so you can monitor your favourite team progress based on the official tie breaking regulation. And in the picture you can see how the formula working when some groups have several tie possibilities. For example in group A, there is a tie position between Bayern Munich, Juventus and Bordeaux to get the first, second and third position. And you see that Bayern Munich and Juventus are qualified to knock out phase because of better head-to-head matches with Bordeaux and Bayern Munich topped the group eventhough the goals difference are worse than Juventus.

In group B, CSKA Moscow had a better head-to-head matches result with Wolfsburg which made CSKA qualify for the knock out phase. You can see also how the tie breaking formula works on Group C and group D tie position.

You can try to put your score just to test the formula, just in case, I missed something which cause some rule are not applied correctly.

After all group matches are played, you can go to the drawing box below the group table. There is automatic formulas that will position all group winners and runner ups in corresponding rows. Here, you have to put the next matches based on the Champions League quarter final drawing that plan to be held on 18 December 2009.  All you have to do just put quarter final match number next to group winner and runner up teams that is revealed from the drawing. After you finished filling all matches, you can go to the next worksheet.
