Finally I finished this Formula 1 schedule and scoresheet tracker template for season 2011 which has been redesigned to accommodate more features comparing with the previous 2010 version. I created this template to work well on excel 2007/2010 version. You can download and convert to excel 97-2003 version but I haven’t test it whether it work well or not.
I redesigned it because I am bored with the outlook of the old one and there are many enhancement can be made with excel 2010. Yes… I used excel 2010 to create this template.
This template is still created without any macros, so you don’t have to enable macro when you open and use this template.
You can explore this template to see which parts that has been changed. Basically, there are five big parts in this template :
- Team and Driver Setup
- Dashboard
- Driver’s Championship
- Constructor’s Championship
- Circuit Information and Race Result
And there is no sheet tab in this template, so you will move from one sheet to another using the hyperlink at the left side of each sheets.
Team and Driver Setup Worksheet
This is the worksheet where you have to verify whether all information are correct and this is the place where you can add any replacement drivers. Except the layout, all information remain the same with the previous version.
Dashboard Worksheet
Dashboard worksheet is the new worksheet where you can see the progress of 5 top teams and 10 top drivers after each races. Of course this chart will be changed after you fill the race results. You will see also the latest podium results of previous three races, the next race and current month calendar. All races information will be based on today’s date. In this worksheet, you don’t have to do anything since all information will be automatically updated based on dates and race results.
Driver’s Championship Worksheet
Driver’s Championship worksheet contains driver standing table that will show all driver’s point achievement after each races. I remove the picture of nationality flag which dynamically follow the position of each drivers since it make the excel running slow. I can make it quicker using macro program, but I don’t think this is an important feature that has to be available.
I split the driver’s championship and team championship standing, so you can access and see it easily without scrolling down your bar like in the previous version.
Constructor’s Championship Worksheet
Constructor’s championship worksheet contains constructor’s point information from each races. Format of this worksheet is the same with the driver’s standing table and also the same with the table in the previous version. The different only on its layout.
Circuit Information and Race Result Worksheets
In the previous version, you saw one worksheet that contains race schedule and one worksheet that contains race results where you have to fill it within one column. I feel uncomfortable with this although the reason I made it because I want to simplify the excel formula and skip the possibility of using macros.
Now, all those boring layout is gone. I totally redesigned these worksheets. From a long column where you have to scroll down to enter the result, now you can move between each races easily. Just select the race from country information at the left side and you will be brought to corresponding race where you can enter the race result. And you can add more circuit information in these worksheets. I put some important circuit information in these worksheets, for example circuit length, number of laps, lap record, race distance, race past winners etc, except the picture since I didn’t have enough time to make one and I learn that most of circuit pictures are not free where you can use only for personal purpose. There are many circuit pictures available in internet. You can copy and paste in my template, but make sure that you only use those pictures for your personal purpose.
OK guys…. Let’s start your engine. The race will start in Albert Park within three days. Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso, Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button and Michael Schumacher are on its way for their next crowns, aren’t they? Five world champions racing together? It should be a fantastic Formula 1 season. What a pity that Kimi Raikkonen and Jacques Villeneuve are not participating in this season. But, it will be a tough season for Mark Webber and Felipe Massa to fulfill their dreams to become F1 Champion…
Feel free to modify the layout or add new contents in this template as long as you don’t remove the copyright. And you can give me ideas about other important things that should be available in this template.
You can download the Formula 1 2011 Schedule and Championship Tracker below and basically you just fill the result of each races at corresponding circuit worksheet to track your favorite driver and team progress. Please let me know if you found some bugs.

thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
Can I ask you where you got the example circuit diagram for the Race Result page on here?
Nevermind, I found it
Thank you, much more better than F1 2010.
I found one small error in this excel…
~ Adrian Sutil is from Germany not Brazil….
~ Paul di Resta actually is from Great Britain.
grazie
ciao
I’m using Excel 2008 and found that once I’d clicked on any of the F1 races on the left I couldn’t go back to the dashboard, drivers championship or constructors championship the link is not working.
I found there’s no #13 car in the Team Setup. Is it intentional?
There is no Car 13 because there isn’t one
I found one more error
~ Team number 10, Lotus is using Renault engine not Cosworth…
In Formula 1, that is no car 13, because 13 is not a good number…
correction:
SINGTEL SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX
Is there any way to get an unlocked version. I am trying to add my pool’s data to it?
Will you please make a template for some of the american sports? NFL, NBA and NHL.
If you have copyright problems with them, can you just please make a template where we can fill in information, like the generic football season template. Please Please, make this happen.
Best regards, your doing a great job.
Dude, Incredible! Better than last year! Thank you!

Unable to open spreadsheet, it is in ‘ xlsx ‘format (is this from Excel 2010) I only have 2003 version. Can you help please?.
R. Musadya, what is your email? btw, you’re a genius!
How can points be changed for a single race, for example if there’s a race which only grants half-points like Malaysia 2009?
I use Excel 2003 this Version of your template
are never compatible to Excel 2003. I am only able to open it with write protection. Please made it
Excel 2003 compatible. Actually it is useless.
Thanks for your hard work.
Does anybodys next race date show Shanghai or Melbourne, because I can’t get mine to show the date for the next race (which will be Shanghai)?
Hi I am still unable to use the 2011 F1.Any ideas how to save it as a 2003 sheet?.
Hi Mark the Shangai race is 17th April 2011.
excellent revamp of the schedule
Good work, this inspired me to create something similar.
The only hurdles I have come across are how to differentiate people on the same points…. I have done this via a method of adding small values to each racer, but this doesnt take into account if one has more wins/2nd places etc over the other one.
Also I have added a countdown timer for the practice and race. Trying to make it a realtime countdown but it stuffs up and only refreshes when I make changes to a cell.
Also how do you add the small cars to the bar charts, I can see that you have minused 12 from each bar chart ( obviously the size of the car graphic ). Did you make the car graphics yourself ??
Any ideas on the first 2 would be awesome.
Cheers.
fixed up racers who are tied on points, is a bit of a hack way of doing it but it works
now just need to work out the VBA part for my timers !
You rock! Thank you for your hard work and kindness of sharing!
Where can I register? I can’t download the file because it says:”You need to be a registered user to download this file.” Thanks for the help.
Now that the Bahrain GP will be held on 30 October and the Indian GP the last race of the season could there be an update please
Are you going to update the spreadsheet and add the Bahrain race back to the calander?
Could you please update the file to include Bahrain and put the Indian GP as the last race on the calender? Thanks for the great job done!
You can readd the Bahrain GP yourself, just change the Indian GP to Bahrain. Not sure how to do the Indian GP as the last race
Another update:
Bahrain GP has been cancelled for 2011 (will return in 2012) which means that Indian GP will move back to its original 30 October date.
We are still waiting for the latest calendar update from the FIA.
If you download the “Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint File Formats” you can open 2010/2007 docs in 2003
Can the creator send me an unprotected version? As I only run Microsoft 2010 starter edition and do not have the power to unprotect the documents
