Printable Periodic Table

Based on the definition found in wiki, the periodic table of the elements or just periodic table is a tabular display of the chemical elements. Although precursors to this table exist, its invention is generally credited to Russian chemist Dmitri Mendeleev in 1869, who intended the table to illustrate recurring (“periodic”) trends in the properties of the elements. The layout of the table has been refined and extended over time, as new elements have been discovered, and new theoretical models have been developed to explain chemical behavior.

The periodic table is now ubiquitous within the academic discipline of chemistry, providing an extremely useful framework to classify, systematize and compare all of the many different forms of chemical behavior. The table has found wide application in chemistry, physics, biology, and engineering, especially chemical engineering. The current standard table contains 117 elements as of July 2009 (elements 1-116 and element 118).

The last time I learned and used the periodic table before year 1990, the periodic table only consist less than 117 elements and some atomic mass not yet being revealed. And there is no internet at all at that time. So, It was not easy to find periodic table references at that time. Now, it is changed. It is very easy to find the table in internet and my nephew asked me if I can create a dynamic periodic table he can use to learn. He wants a periodic table that can be used as a reference and printable and also a blank one as a practice worksheet. The possible way to create this kind of periodic table is using excel. And this is the table created for his purpose.

This template consist of two worksheets, the first worksheet is the printable periodic table. Just print the worksheet with the paper size you want. Following my daily planner template, I created weekly planner template with the same approach. This planner allow you to define your time lay out based on your type of works. For example, if you worked at night, you should have a planner that start from 9 o’clock at night compare to standard planner. And this planner can accommodate it.

Weekly Planner

Setup Worksheet
This is a setup worksheet where you can set your planner time here.
- Time style : You can set whether you want to show the minutes or not in the planner. If you need a planner that only have hour, set the time style with “Don’t show minutes”.
- Appointment schedule : This is the area where you can set your time planner. Just check (type “v”) in the column next to hour and minutes to show them in the planner. If you uncheck them, the hour or minutes will disappear from your planner. You can change the hour time also, I set the default with 7 o’clock, but you can change that hour into your desired start time, but don’t forget to change the hour below.
- Maximum rows : This is your reference for the maximum rows that can be shown in the planner, where the remain rows cell will give you information regarding your remaining available rows that can be checked.
- Holiday column : This is columns where you can put your holiday or additional holiday instead of the default ones. The name of holiday will appear in the planner if the date is inside your weekly period.
- Event column : This is the column where you can put your special event for one year period to be shown in the planner if the date is inside your weekly period

Like Bundesliga, Eredivisie is the highest football league competition in Netherlands which consist of 18 teams that will face each other in home and away matches. Last year is the first time after 18 years where none of the big three teams, Ajax, PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord crowned as the champion. Last year Champion is AZ Alkmaar which coached by Van Gaal who moved to Bayern Munich in 2009/2010 season. The current coach and Manager of AZ Alkmaar is Ronald Koeman which have a big responsibility to defend its team title.

Last year, I didn’t make the fixtures for Eredivisie. But this year, I think I have to complete all top 5 European football fixtures (not including English Premiership), because the effort just to copy all the fixtures into the template. And Eredivisie will start its competition by July, 31, and it is earlier compare to other top European football leagues.
