There are two kind of templates available. The first one is a single to-do list where it is more suitable to be used for single person. Inside it, there are 26 rows that you can use to fill your tasks. There are no excel formula inside the table. Just type the number, type your tasks name, and type a completion status once you finished your tasks. You can put word “done” or type “v” or any other characters. Remember to leave the status column blank when the tasks are not finished yet. The reason why you have to leave it blank, because the completion bar on top of the table will calculate the percentage of finished job by counting the number of columns that is not blank. You can modify this excel formula to suit your needs.

The second one is the team to do list. Basically, it is an aggregation of single to-do list templates with additional summary where you can see accomplishment of any members in this team. For example, it can be used to monitor the performance for any voluntaries project that is held in one day. Or, it can be used to measure performance of its member for doing the same job within the same period of time. To use this template is the same with the first template, except you can switch between to-do list from summary worksheet by selecting it from the column name. You can download both templates below which is only can be opened if you are using Microsoft Excel 2007 or 2010.

What is debt-to-income ratio? If you are a financial people, you will understand this term. Debt-to-income ratio is a personal finance measure that compares the amount of money that you earn to the amount of money that you owe to your creditors. This number is arisen when they plan to finance their new house, new car, or others. Any financial institutions or banks usually calculate it to determine your mortgage affordability.

Calculating your debt-to-income ratio is easy, open up an excel spreadsheet, put and sum up all of your bank or financial institution debts in one column, then put and sum up all of your income in other column, and divide the sum of your debt to the sum of your income. That’s it. That is your debt-to-income ratio. If you are still confused to run it using excel you can download this simple debt-to-income ratio calculator to help you find out your ratio. Replace item name in the template with your income and loan item.

Inside this tool, there is a ratio classification which I quoted from Gerri Detweiler, author of The Ultimate Credit Handbook. And there are some other classification from other experts that probably more suitable for you. There are many factors that affect the ratio, because it will depend on other expenses. For example, family with children will have different expenses compare with single people. Your living neighborhood also will affect your monthly expenses. So, be wise with your expenses, and read many references in internet if you have problem on managing your monthly expenses.

This tool will be more suitable if you plan to apply for a loan mortgage and you want to calculate whether your ratio is below your bank requirement where maximum ratio of 36% or 37% is the most common parameter used by banks to give you loan.

And it should help you plan your weekly activities until you delivered your baby. For example, you can plan your visit to your obstetrician where it could be once a month for the first 6-7 months, and it will be 2-4 times a week when entering 8th month. And you can plan a time when you and your husband go shopping together to prepare your needs and your newborn baby needs.

I am not an obstetrician, so I won’t explain more about pregnancy. You can search and read from hundreds of references you can find in internet or bookstores. I was just creating this excel template based on experiences  my wife had. Since some of my friends found that this calendar is useful for them, I think it should be useful also for you who pregnant or have a pregnant wife. And for you who just plan to have a baby, probably you can use this calendar to plan and calculate the birth of your baby.

This is a two-year calendar where you can fully monitor your 9 month pregnancy within two year calendar period. To make this calendar works, you can follow several steps below:

• Select 1st Calendar worksheet
• Fill cell V5 with the beginning of your last menstrual cycle information
• Fill cell V6 with the length of your menstrual cycle period information
• Fill cell V7 with the length of your luteal phase period information. Filling this cell is optional, where it is already filled with a common luteal phase period (14 days).
• Select your start day of the week for this calendar by selecting from Sunday-Monday drop down menu in cell K2.
• After typing those information, you will see that the first calendar will be generated with the same year with your last menstrual cycle year. You will see the red marker in the calendar as your last menstrual cycle (W0), the first green marker as your conception prediction date(W2), the pink markers as your pregnancy weekly reference(W1,2,3-39,41-42), and the last green marker (W40) as your expected date of delivery, which based on statistic, it is very rare that the prediction date is punctual.
• There are blank notes at the left and right side of the calendar. It consists of two columns without border line between those columns. the left column (column B and V) are places where you can type your important dates on corresponding month next to the notes. The second column (column C and W) are places where you can type the important information for those dates. Blue markers will be revealed after you typing those dates.
• At the bottom of each calendar, there is a pregnancy summary information that you can fill with your own information

After finishing filling your information, you can print it and stick it in your wall or put it as your book insertion. If there is a new information you would like to add, you can manually write and mark new important dates directly in the calendar. Please use this pregnancy calendar as your side reference only. Always refer to your doctor for more accurate information on your pregnancy.

-  Group A: Bayern Munich, Villarreal, Manchester City and Napoli.
-  Group B: Inter Milan, CSKA Moscow, Lille Metropole and Trabzonspor.
-  Group C: Manchester United, Benfica, Basel and Otelul Galati.
-  Group D: Real Madrid, Olympique Lyonnais, Ajax Amsterdam and Dinamo Zagreb.
-  Group E: Chelsea, Valencia, Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Genk.
-  Group F: Arsenal, Olympique de Marseille, Olympiacos and Borussia Dortmund.
-  Group G: Porto, Shakhtar Donetsk, Zenit St Petersburg and Apoel.
-  Group H: Barcelona, AC Milan, Bate Borisov and Viktoria Plzen.

All group matches will start from 14 September and will end at 8 December 2011. Below is the full schedule of drawing and matches until the final at 19 May at Allianz Arena, Munich, Germany.

This 2011/2012 UEFA Champions League Fixtures and Scoresheet is the same with the previous season template. I plan to make additional calendar worksheet so you can see the whole schedule in one worksheet but I don’t have enough time to do it now due I will be out of town for a week. Perhaps later I will add it.

For you who never use this template before, below is a short guidance to use this Champions League 2011/2012 schedule template :

-  Put result scores in score boxes in ‘Group Qualification’ worksheet. The standing table next to it will be adjusted automatically.
-  When all group matches are played, you will see the top two teams that qualify for round of 16 shown up in the drawing rows below group standing table. Watch the round of 16 drawings at 9 December (or you can just read from newspaper or internet at the next day ), and fill the box beside those teams with the drawing numbers. Drawing numbers are corelated with matches numbers. For example put matches #1 in cell next to Barcelona in group winner box and in cell next to Villareal in group runner up box. There are several rules applied when UEFA draws these matches, for example, round of 16 cannot have matches between teams from the same countries or the same groups.
-  Go to ‘Knock Out Phase’ worksheet. Since some entries are based on drawings, I cannot make it all entry automatic. You should fill it manually. The blue boxes at the left and right side of these matches are applied to home teams. Start filling the date and time of first and second legs in corresponding boxes.
-  Fill the result scores of round of 16 matches
-  When all round of 16 matches are finished, UEFA will do the drawing once again. You should do the pairing matches manually. All round of 16 winners will be shown in cell H99-H106 (with words ‘Winner of First round #’ next to it. There are selection boxes on top of it. Do the pairing matches by select the teams manually. You will see that there are another pairing matches for semi-finals. You will do this pairing later.
-  In the quarter-finals box, fill again the date and time of the first and second leg matches.
-  Fill the result scores of quarter-finals matches
-  When all quarter-finals matches are finished, go once again to the semifinal box inside the drawing box, and you can see information about winner of quarter-finals matches. Since which teams that will become a home team at the first leg is not yet known in the beginning, you have to enter the team manually once again from selection boxes.
-  Again, do filling the date and time for first and second leg in semifinal boxes.
-  Fill the result scores of semifinal matches
-  Fill the result scores of final match.

You can make two copies of this scoresheet, where you can use one copy to play with your prediction and one copy for the real results.

Ok guys. You can download the file here. If you found some minor errors, for example group names, or dates, you can manually correct it inside the box. Or, if you want to display it by group instead of by matches date, you can manually change it. If you found major error, which usually related with the excel formula, let me know. It could be unnoticeable error eventhough this template is already being used to the 3rd season.

We are living in modern world now where we don’t need to see natural signs to plan anything. Experts are already doing this for us. And with the help of internet, you can find many tools that will help you planning anything where calendars are one of those useful tools. Here, you can download several type of 2012 calendars that can help you make your plan for next year. But, these are not perpetual calendars. These are just fixed date calendars with custom event functions  which is the same with the previous 2011 calendar templates.

These calendars below are 2012 calendars where you can fill maximum 3 different event categories to be marked in the calendar. You can choose between portrait or landscape version with either Monday or Sunday as its starting day before you print it.

This type of calendar below will have calendar and event information in the same page. You can type your information at the left and right side of the calendar on specific month and the date will be colorize based on type of event you have typed.

But, there is a bad news for team who grab the 4th position. It will be handed a europe league spot instead of champions league spot due to Italian Football coefficient is drop below Germany Football coefficient because of Germany teams performance are better in both Champions and Europe League tournaments. So, it is a challenge for Italian teams to play well in Champions and European league this season to bring back their 4th Champions League spot again.

Anyway, let’s go back to Italian competition again. Which forwards that will get a top scorer trophy? Can Edinson Cavani and Antonio Di Natale continue their good form last season and become top scorer again? Or will AC Milan’s forwards, Ibrahimovic, Pato, Robinho, Cassano or Internazionale’s forwards, Eto’o, Pazzini get past Cavani and Natale for the trophy? Is there a new player will get the trophy? We will see.

And which player in serie A will become the best player? How well Andrea Pirlo team up with Del Piero and overcome their ages? How well Totti team up with new AS Roma players? All questions should be answered this season. Because the transfer window is still opened until the end of August, there is no guarantee that all players I mentioned above are still in those teams. And there is still a possibility that a new star player will come and make Italian Serie A competition more attractive.

This Serie A Fixtures (of Serie A Calendario in Italian Language) template is the same with previous season template, so you can follow the same guidance from previous posting. Let me know if there is any error. Cheers.

It is not easy to explain loan amortization concept to general people who don’t understand finance. Usually they just think that the principal and interest are paid in the same amount every month, so when they plan to pay off their home loan before their loan period ended, they got shocked by the remaining principal they have to pay because of poor knowledge of loan concept.

You can find several free loan amortization tools in internet, either written in Excel, online, or written in other programmes, to be used for your personal purposes. I was writing three tools for calculating loan amortization that you can find in my previous posts. Perhaps you have downloaded them. And I think those tools are simple enough to help you calculating your mortgage payment.

This is another loan amortization tool that I tried to display it in dashboard style. I have finished it at the same time I finished F1 dashboard, but I haven’t had spare time to upload it in my site. And this dashboard works well if you are using Microsoft Excel 2007 or 2010.

There are four tabs in this dashboard with description as follow :

Data Tab
This is the tab where you have to type your loan amortization parameters. Type your loan amount, bank interest rate (percent/year), payment period (in month) and payment start date in corresponding cells. And the other three tabs will automatically reveal your loan amortization information based on your data.

Table Tab
This is the area where you can see the break down of your monthly payment. You will see how your principal payment gradually increased and interest payment decreased month by month. And you can see also how your total principal is decreased every month. And there is a scroll bar that you can use to scroll payment information from the first month until the end of payment period.

Chart Tab
This is a visualization of your payment per year (not per month). You can see that your interest payment (bar with pink color) is higher than principal payment (bar with dark red color) in the first half of your loan period. So, you will see that it is not economically wise to payoff your loan in the first half of your loan period. Those bar values are referred to the left side of the chart. And there is a balance amount that displayed with the blue line where the values referred to the right side of the chart.

Summary Tab
This is an area where you can see your monthly payment, the total amount of your monthly payment and the payoff date.

That’s all guys. If you want to learn how to make this dashboard, just unhide the “dummy” sheet. But, you have to check the grid and the heading option in view menu, and change the font color to make it visible.

Dutch Eredivisie will start its 2011/2012 season at 5th of August 2011, or less than two weeks from now. Ajax will start to defend its title at 7th of August by visiting De Graafschap. This season, Ajax will get tough challenges from Twente, PSV, AZ Alkmaar, Feyenoord to defend its crown. Instead of seeing the teams are competing for title, it is interesting to see which players that will become stars and transferred to top European teams like previous seasons. And also it will be interesting which Dutch teams that can ruin other European team hopes in Champions League. Eventhough Dutch has never won a World Cup, it never stops producing football best players in the world, like two years ago, when Wesley Snijder (Inter Milan) and Arjen Robben (Bayern Munich) are competing in Champions league Final. All Dutch best players are started their careers in Dutch Eredivisie. So, don’t underestimate Dutch teams and its competition. Because, they also have capabilities to conquer European football.

This 2011/2012 spreadsheet is the same with the previous season spreadsheet. I just changed the relegated teams with the new ones, and replaced the fixtures with 2011/2012 fixtures. You can read and follow the instruction on how to use this template in my previous posts.

Lille – Marseille – Lyon. Those top three teams from last season will compete for a Ligue 1 title in French Ligue 1 2011/2012 season. Will Lille retain its crown? Or Marseille and Lyon will take it from Lille? Or will other teams beat them for the title? For the past three years, there were three different teams that was crowned for Ligue 1 Champion. So, it is difficult to predict which teams that could bring the Ligue 1 title, after being dominated by Lyon for 7 years.

Probably people only pay attention on English Premier League, Spanish Primera Liga, or Italian Serie A. But, you have to remember that many French Players are playing outside their countries after they spent their time in Ligue 1 teams. So, it is still interesting to see which teams that will become the champion and who are the new stars that will arise in this 2011/2012 season.

There is no difference between this season template and last season template. There are teams and fixtures that being changed in this season template. And you can still follow the direction I gave in last season post.

What is a personal budget definition? Refer to several internet sites, a personal budget is a financial plan that limits the amount of money that will be spent on any expenses category in any period of time. The most common period used as a reference is one month period. The limitation is usually based on income being received. The income must cover all expenses, fixed and flexible expenses, where fixed expenses become top priority to be fulfilled every month. Fixed expenses are usually obligation expenses. For example: mortgage, school fee, cable tv etc where the money being spent is fixed per month. Flexible expenses are expenses that related with variable amount of money that has to be expensed based on people behaviour. A good budget will consider all the factors above and still have some savings on income by the end of month.

There are very few people who understand the needs of budgeting their expenses. Some people don’t know how to make it, some others don’t have intention on limiting their expenses. That is the reason people or family are sort of money every last week in every month. We saw any marts, restaurants, stores are more quiet on those weeks comparing with previous weeks. Because people tends to spend their money as soon as they get paid and think about saving it several days before getting paid again. In order to reverse this trend, people need to become more responsible with their spending patterns. One tool to help people manage their expenses is a personal budget.

Many people have no idea exactly where or how they spend a good portion of their money. How many times have you taken money from the ATM only to realize a couple of days later that it is gone? There is always situation where you have difficulties to remember how exactly you spent the money, and often times this money is wasted on unnecessary purchases. A budget will help prevent this from happening by making a person accountable for the money that they spend.

There are many methods available on how to categorize the expenses, which categories should have higher allocation, and many other considerations which should make people finally understand that they don’t have much money to cover all expenses. Another great benefit is that a budget portrays an accurate idea of how much an individual can actually afford to pay for various consumer items. Whether it’s a house, a car, or a new TV, a person will be able to determine whether or not a certain purchase will fit within their monetary constraints. This acts as a safeguard against getting in over your head financially.

It is important to realize that simply creating a budget is not enough. This in and of itself will do a person absolutely no good if he does not discipline himself to stick to it. At times this will be very difficult, particularly if a person has established the habit of freely spending without a second thought. However, the long term benefits of financial freedom, debt free living, and a comfortable retirement far outweigh any potential difficulty.

I have made household budget about one year ago, and it needs some times to understand how to use the template. This template is a simple personal budget template that should give you better understanding on making a monthly budget without complicated thought. There are only two sheets in this template. The first sheet is a budget sheet where you can type your income and expenses category and fill your budget. Try not to be precise as a financial people. Just type all expenses that you can

remember and categorize it in words that you understand or based on thought. Don’t worry about making mistakes or getting confused on categories. Just type it. There are many references available on categorizing expenses, but you don’t have to be bounded with that. The idea of this template is to balance your income with your expenses. The category is supposed to help you had a structural thought on managing your expenses. Once you type the category, it will become a selection category in the second sheet (income and expenses tracker sheet).

In the second sheet, there are two tables, income table and expenses table. Type your daily income and expenses based on dates. Make sure that you type your income and expenses within one month period. You can see the sum of those amount in the first worksheet. And there is a budget vs income/expenses column in the first worksheet, so you can see you are over or under budget. Save this excel template with name of the month, for example January-2011. And duplicate this file into 12 excel workbooks, so you can have your own monthly personal budget.
