Academic Calendar 2009/2010

Holiday is about to over. In some countries, the new academic year is starting from July and at some other is starting from August. There are some requests came in about modifying my yearly calendar into a specific calendar template that started from July or August and ended in the some month in the following year. I made a simple one to fulfill that request where this template can only be used for year 2009/2010 with a feature to mark the date with corresponding academic exams, events or holiday.
There are only two worksheets in the excel file. The first one is the calendar itself with three colour mark, orange for exams, red for holiday, and blue for event. The second worksheet is the sheet where you can put your exams date together with holiday and event information. I already put holidays date applicable for USA, but you can change it according to your countries. I just put maximum 30 line that can be filled.
There are two version available for this calendar. The first one is started from July 2009 - July 2010, and the second one is started from August 2009 - August 2010.
You can download the calendar version of July 2009 - July 2010 here.
You can download the calendar version of August 2009 - August 2010 here. And you can download the open office version here.

Thanks for the 2009/2010 Academic Calendar. We are using it for staff activities. Can you tell me how to change the orange to green in the exam marks on the calendar. It’s difficult to see the difference between orange and red. Thanks again!
Hi Josie,
Thanks for your feedback. I just notice it. You can change the color by following this step :
a. Select July/August date cells (from B4 to H9)
b. Go to menu > format > conditional formatting
c. You should see orange color in condition 1
d. Click Format > Patterns
e. Click your desired color, for example green
f. Click OK to go to the conditional formatting menu
g. Click OK to activate the changes
You will see the exams mark color change from orange to green.
Do this step again for other months. And you will get your calendar with green color for exams mark.
Regards
How do you add on more columns to the first sheet to feed into the second?
We are using this to plan meetings for a number of projects and would prefer to have them separated out and colour coded.
Thanks
Hey thanks, great cal. Really helpful. And I always put my birthday on before sending out. Im the 8th Aug FYI lol
Hi Margaret,
Sorry for late response. I have just read your comment. You need excel 2007 to expand the column and add it into the conditional formatting. Excel version below 2007 only allow maximum three conditions.
Regards
I love this yearly template! How can I add more colors so I can track the academic schedules for 6 different programs? I would like each program to have a color so I can see when they are off.
